Sun, Moon, Music

One of the benefits of growing up in a large family, I was exposed to the full spectrum of music genres since I couldn’t have control of the radio dial. I may not have liked what I was hearing then, but somehow these songs have found their way into my favourites playlist. When I hear a tune, it’s not just a blast from the past, but a memory recollection of a person dear to me. I usually listen to my favourites in the summer…

The sun is blazing hot & I can never wait for the evening cool-down and the rise of the full moon which always seems larger at this time of the year. Here are 2 pieces of work from an ongoing series of chromatographic drawings that pay tribute to songs that honour these celestial bodies.
